El inodoro de la NEOREST Series/LE de TOTO galardonado con el Design Plus Award


TOTO is pleased to announce that the TOTO Neorest Series/LE toilet has been awarded one of the prestigious Design Plus Awards for 2009. The German Design Council, in collaboration with the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, has given the award as part of the 2009 International Sanitary and Heating (ISH) fair, from 10-14 March 2009.

The Design Plus award committee singled out the TOTO Neorest Series/LE toilet as a product that shows outstanding and highly innovative design, with major importance attached to criteria such climate protection, energy efficiency and sustainability.

TOTO is thrilled to receive such an award on the eve of its European launch. “It is a wonderful start for TOTO to win the Design Plus award in such a design-focused market,” says TOTO designer, Maruhashi Masahiro. “TOTO is always researching ways to increase hygiene and comfort in its sanitary products, and is constantly developing technologies that do this. The Neorest toilet is the most technologically advanced TOTO toilet, and we believe that first-time users will enjoy the experience. We will continue developing comfortable sanitary products and original technologies for the European market.”

Features that make the TOTO Neorest Series/LE toilet unique include an automatic opening and shutting lid, a toilet seat that is warm even when the room is cold, a water stream designed to create better cleansing, an air-dryer, a unique flushing system and a microscopically smooth ceramic glazing that helps maintain impeccable hygiene.

The Design Plus Award is open to all entrants of ISH, and represents design expertise and innovative achievements in the bathroom industry. The TOTO Neorest Series/LE toilet will be included in a display of all prize-winning entries in a special exhibition at ISH in Foyer 4.2. A special award ceremony will take place at 2pm in ISH Foyer 4.2 on 10 March.

Japan’s leading bathroom brand, TOTO, will officially embark on its European expansion with an innovative and multi-layered design exhibition in Hall 4.1 at ISH Frankfurt from 10-14 March.
